Framing offers protection for the things you value from mishandling, natural decay or loss. 

Any picture can be enhanced by a great frame but it could be ruined by improper matting. Many matting variations are possible, including a wide range of colors and textures. Multiple prints can be presented within the same frame. Double or triple mats often are used - only a quarter inch or so of the second or third mat is visible beneath the main mat; these often repeat accent colors in the picture.
